Tax Committee
Objective to discuss tax issues of relevance to the Brazilian and British business communities.
Expectations for 2013 contribute to a wide discussion on the need to sign a treaty to avoid double taxation between Brazil and the UK. Cater for members’ concerns in the discussion of tax issues that have an impact on the development of their activities, by holding events and technical meetings to address matters of particular interest to them.
Challenge contribute to present a seminar on avoiding UK-Brazil double taxation and for advocacy
Frequency once every two months. Monthly Technical Meetings of the members of the Tax Committee.
Target Public companies and individuals interested in studying tax law, administrative and legal decisions and obtaining more tax information.
Themes organise technical events (bimonthly lunches, seminars, workshops) about current tax issues of relevance, including: the tax effects of changes in accounting practices; double taxation on income; tax havens, privileged tax regimes and their tax consequences; managers' liability for the tax debts of companies; Brazilian anti-tax shelter regulations.
Events and seminars lunchtime-conferences, seminars and technical meetings with tax committee members.
Networking Opportunity the variety and regularity of committee meetings provides an excellent networking opportunity.
